Like every year, copywriter Hannes Lücke is on his way to his family's Christmas ritual in his hometown of Münster... But this year is different: the ideal bourgeois world starts cracking. Married Hannes takes his young girlfriend Inge with him and puts her up in a hotel. When Hannes instructs Inge not to let herself be seen near him under any circumstances, Inge attempts to frustrate his festive plans with his classmates, family and girlfriend.
