Midwife Yana Glazer works in a maternity ward. Here, Jewish women give birth just as much as Arab women, believers and non-believers alike. Jerusalem was divided until 1967. The border between East and West Jerusalem was impassable. East Jerusalem with the Old City belonged to Jordan. In 1967, Israel found itself threatened by its Arab neighbors. In the 6-day war Israel occupied East Jerusalem. Here in the historic Old City are the Wailing Wall, Al Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Shrines of the three great world religions. The Wailing Wall was liberated in the 6-day war. This is how some see it.
